Start of the journey from LTT : Mumbai

The Bangalore trip started with the train journey from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Bangalore City Jn.
Train# 1013 departed LTT behind a KYN WCAM3# 21926 at the exact departure time of 2235 hrs. The train is scheduled to travel via Kalyan(sch arr:2316 hrs-- actual arrival:2333hrs)-Karjat-Lonavala and reach Pune Jn.(sch arr:0155hrs). The actual arrival of 1013 @ PNE Jn was 0203hrs. The Electric WCAm3 gave way to a Erode WDM2A# 18534. This loco would haul the 1013 all the way to SBC.

The train departed PNE @ 0210 hrs and reached Khurduwadi (KWV) @ 0442hrs (2 minutes delayed).

Further, train# 1013 reached the next stop of Solapur Jn.(SUR) @ 0651 hrs, a whopping 51 minutes late than its actual arrival of 0600 hrs.

SBC train journey continues
The time is 0635 hrs on Feb 8'05. Train# 1013 approaches Solapur Jn. in the early hours of dawn. The sky has turned into a mix of pink and blue. It meets an unknown train hauled by a Pune WDM2. Notice the ON markers of the WDM2. The headlight is switched off as the train waits for the start signal. Also Notice the load of the concrete sleepers lying b/w the two tracks. This section is probably scheduled for maintainance.

Train# 1013 leaves Solapur Jn and breezes through a wayside staion somewhere near Akkalkot Rd. Notice the Gooty shed twin WDG3A's idlying in the dawn. The morning mist can be seen in the background. Notice the signal positioned at a very low level on the left side of the picture.

Train#1013 is halted for a crossing at Nagansur. The time is 0750 hrs. The reason becomes apparent, when Train#2627 : SBC-NDLS Karnataka Express comes hustling and bustling with mued twin Itarsi WDM2's leading the rake. Notice the loco pilot of the leading WDM2#18357 waving the green flag indicating 'ALL clear to proceed' to the loco pilot of our train.

The time is 0806 hrs (Feb 8'05). Train# 1013 arrives @ Dudhani for its scheduled halt and crosses over to the loop line. It crosses a Boxn rake led by a Pune WDM2# 18579. The rake is halted on the loop line and is waiting for our train to cross over. The Loco pilot and the assistant driver are seen examining their loco. Notice the traditional maroon colored livery of the WDM2.
