LTT - SBC (page 2) : Gangapur Rd - Gulbarga pics. Train# 1013's scheduled arrival @ Gangapur Rd was 0728 hrs. The train was however running late and actually made it at 0835 hrs. The train halted for a brief 3 minutes and the actual departure time was 0838 hrs. HOME |

The 'Punjab Mail' quality policy is strived to be realized by IR and this picture shows the same commitment being printed into the coach that I was travelling in. It was a 3tier AC coach built by the Kapurtala rail coach factory. The year of manufacture of May'04 The Punjab Mail' quality Policy reads : We shall continually strive to improve the quality of coaching maintainance activities so as to provide safe, reliable and comfortable service to all bonafide passengers of PUNJAB MAIL" . |

| It's 0835 hrs on Feb 8'05. Train# 1013 arrives @ (GUR) Gangapur Rd. and stops on the loop line for its scheduled halt. The Kacheguda-Raichur-Falkuna passenger arrives on the adjoining loop line, trundling behind a Pune WDM2 # 17739 in its delightful green livery. Note the red aspect of the starter signal for the main line (center). |

The time is 0916 hrs. Train#1013 starts to leave GR (Gulbarga). This particular board surprised me. The locomotive drivers are referred to as "Pilot". The board suggests that all M/Exp (Mail/Express) locomotive drivers should stop at that point. | |

| The time is 0917 hrs. Train#1013 arrives Gulbarga @ 0907 hrs and departs @ 0915 hrs. As it crawls onto the main line, train # 6530 SBC - CSTM Udyan express screams into Gulbarga, behind a KJM (Krishnarajapuram)shed WDM loco. 95% of the Udyan rake could be seen on the approach curve. Note the assistant driver of the 1013 waving the green flag. |
