Train # 1013 leaves Nalwar |
The stretch between Nalwar and Yadgir is very barren, dry and is scattered with an ocassional dense tree. The picture captures one such tree with a small shrine(temple) close to it. A railway worker rests in the shade of the tree and waves to the loco pilot as the 1013 breezes through the twin line section. |

Train # 1013 arrives WADI as train# 6340 departs. |
The time is 1145 hrs. #1013 reaches the border of Maharashtra state and halts at Krishna. The station is located in a wide open, barren landscape filled with green shrubs. The Left side picture captures the trailing portion of the 1013 @ Krishna, while the right side picture is the same scene in a different color mode (Sephia mode).
The time is 1150 hrs. The home starter for the loop line turns amber(yellow) indicating 'clear to proceed'. The loco-pilot of train # 1013 sounds the horn and notches up the loco. This creates a thick plume of black smoke as seen in the pic. Note the assistant-driver standing on the ramp of the loco waving the green flag and awaiting for a reciprocal from the guard. Also note the amber colored signal (second from the right). |
